I am happy to announce my new book: “Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World”!

I was very blessed to have led a pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal in 2017 for the centennial year of the visits of Our Lady of Fatima (2017). How amazing it was to be there at the exact location where Our Lady appeared to the beautiful three shepherd children, Sister Lucia, St. Francisco, and St. Jacinta. Sister Lucia’s life is in the process of being investigated and scrutinized during the canonization process.

Unlike her little cousins Francisco and Jacinta who died very young, Lucia lived almost 98 years. That means there is an awful lot of information throughout her years of life for the canonization process to sift through. I have no doubt whatsoever that Lucia dis Santos will eventually be declared a Saint in the Catholic Church.

Did you know that December 10, 2025 marks 100 years since the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Fatima, with the Infant Jesus at her side resting on a bright cloud, appeared to Lucia dos Santos, (the surviving shepherd child of Fatima), who was, at the time, a Postulant with the Sisters of Saint Dorothy in Pontevedra, Spain? Lucia is now “Venerable Servant of God.”

I am happy to let you know that I am releasing my book “Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World” in a 2nd edition.

Our Lady of Fatima came to our world in 1917 and gave a profound and compelling message to the world through three innocent and faithful shepherd children in Fatima.

Our Mother in Heaven, Our Lady of Fatima gave instructions and warnings, as well as prayerful recommendations for us.

I detail all of Our Lady’s messages in my books: “Our Lady of Fatima: 100 Years of Stories, Prayers, and Devotions” and “Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World.” When I began the writing of “Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children,” I thought it would be for children to learn and understand the message of Our Lady of Fatima. However, as I was writing it, I prayerfully desired to write it in such a way that the adults who might be reading the book to the children would also be inspired and would learn the details of the messages, hopefully, applying it to their lives.

My heart was profoundly touched when later on, a Benedictine Monk shared with me that his entire prayer life was totally transformed by my book: “Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World.” May God be praised! I wrote the book to appeal to children and adults alike.

Feast of Our Lady of Fatima

There’s so much Our Lady of Fatima teaches us!

I did a short radio show this morning on Catholic Connection on Ave Maria Radio which you can listen to below…

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady appeared to 3 simple shepherd children 102 years ago today. I tell about the visit and all of the others in my books about Fatima: Our Lady of Fatima: 100 Years of Stories, Prayers, and Devotions, Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World, and Advent with Our Lady of Fatima.

I would like to provide the special prayers taught to the children by the Angel of Peace in 1916 and by our Blessed Mother in 1917 here in this post.

You can pray these prayers today on this special feast day and any other day. Ask Mother Mary to grant many graces to you for your own soul and so that you can help others.

The Pardon Prayer

“My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee! I beg pardon for all those that do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee.”

—This prayer was given to the children by the angel of Peace in Spring 1916.

Angel’s Prayer

“O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary I beg the conversion of poor sinners.”

—Given to the children Fall 1916. A Eucharistic host and chalice were suspended in the air, and the Angel of Peace led the children to kneel before it in Adoration and pray this prayer.

The Eucharistic Prayer

“Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament.”

—The Blessed Mother taught this prayer to the children on the first visit on May 13, 1917.

The Sacrifice Prayer

“O Jesus, it is for the love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for the conversion of poor sinners [that I do this].”

—The Blessed Mother taught the children this prayer, as well as the Decade Prayer, on June 13th, 1917. It is meant to be prayed when offering up suffering or penance to God.

The Decade Prayer

“O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.”

—On July 13, 1917, the Blessed Mother told the children that people should add this prayer to the end of each decade of the Rosary.

I am very excited to report that my children’s Fatima book: Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World has now been delivered to my home! It is ahead of schedule.

Just a little note about my excitement that this book is here…I will give you a little background…

As you might know, I have written a book on Fatima entitled Our Lady of Fatima: 100 Years of Stories, Prayers, and Devotions. I was happy to be asked by the publisher to write this book for the 100th anniversary year of Our Lady of Fatima. I am also very blessed that Fr. Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R. has written the Foreword. Some fascinating things happened during the writing of this book which I tell about in the Afterword.

This book came out just recently. It’s been ranked as the Number One New Release in Christian Mariology for quite some time. That tells me that people want to learn more about Our Lady of Fatima

Backing up a bit, after I finished writing that book (and, trust me, it was a true labor of love and not without its challenges, but SO worth doing), I then felt deeply inspired to tell the story of Our Lady of Fatima to children! It was kind of a late hour. That was for sure because a book for the anniversary year should have been written already. I knew all too well the notorious schedule of publishing and thought that it might be quite impossible to get the idea of the book with a publisher and then to write it, and then also to get it through the publishing process to be out on time for the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.

But, though I knew it looked impossible in those terms, I was still convinced that I absolutely had to try. I even felt the Blessed Mother prodding me to work hard to write a book that would tell the story of Fatima to children and their families. So, on February 1st I had a phone meeting with the president of a Catholic publishing company. Within an hour we worked out everything–right over the phone. Time was of the essence and I believed that the Blessed Mother clearly wanted this book and I also believed that She wanted me to get going on it–pronto! I was absolutely convinced.

Within three weeks it was all written! I worked long and hard, determined to get the work done quickly. All along, I kept relics of little Francisco and Jacinta close by or in my pocket. On top of that, I was able to get a wonderful illustrator on board knowing that illustrations are so important to children and young adults. I worked very closely with the fabulous Ann Kissane Engelkhart the illustrator who worked very diligently on such a tight schedule. I believe that God was granting many graces all around! Of course, there was more work too, which involved the whole talented publishing team to put everything together and to as quickly as possible get it off to the printer. And this book did not come about without a bit of “blood, sweat, and tears” if you know what I mean. Often (pretty much always) there will be some good “material” for offerings to Our Lord (sickness, challenge, and more).

But, at just two months and twenty days after I spoke to the very kind and gracious president of the publishing company, these books showed up at my front door! It just happened to be on the feast of my First Hoy Communion and on that day, this amazing news became official! Blessed Francisco and Blessed Jacinta will be canonized by Pope Francis at Fatima on May 13th! By the way, I was able to mention in the book that their causes for canonization had moved forward and that the little shepherds would be canonized, just before my book went to print!

“Vatican City, Apr 20, 2017 / 03:06 am (CNA/EWTN News).- During his trip to Portugal for the centenary of the Fatima Marian apparitions next month, Pope Francis will canonize visionaries Francisco and Jacinta Marto, making them the youngest non-martyrs to ever be declared saints.

The children will be canonized during Pope Francis’ May 13 Mass in Fatima. The decision for the date was made during a April 20 consistory of cardinals…”
